My culture.
My culture is Samoan but I was born in New Zealand. My dad was born in Samoa and my stepmom was born in New Zealand. Some days when I go over to my nana’s like on christmas evening we all kneel down and thank God.
I remember that when I was young My Nana would put candles around in a big circle and my cousins and also Jamal would have to sit down inside the circle of candles and if we didn’t listen we would get a slap on the bottom.
I respect my culture because as well as I respect my elders and my extended family. I love my culture because there are women that do graceful dancing and some even tell stories of what they have been through or what they heard, but that’s not all because Samoan is part of my family and I should be proud.
The one thing I hate is that I’m still learning how to speak Samoa and also to understand Samoa.
Here is a picture of the Samoan flag.
Thank you for reading I hope you enjoyed my story.

My trip to the Vodafone Event Center.
On Monday, Room 9 went to the Vodafone Event center and people from what now were filming us. It was a little bit boring but at the same time it was funny. When we first got on the bus we sang songs, talked and laughed and others would just looked out the window. When we got there, I was nervous because there were a lot of people around and students from different schools were there too. At the end we went back to school and pack up to go home.
Even though it was boring, I'm still grateful for going to the Vodafone Event Center. I wish I could go there again in the future.

Information Report
Bzzzzzzzzzzz. What is that sound? It’s a buzzing bee. A bee is an insect because it has 6 legs and 3 body parts head, thorax and an abdomen. Honey bees help pollinate the plants. They fly from plant to plant. Honey bees also collect nectar. They use their proboscis to suck up the nectar. The queen bee lays all the eggs and if the queen bee dies the other bees will get confused and they will just kill themselves. The bees are black and yellow. Bees have pollen baskets but only female bees have them. Bumble bees keep the nectar and put them into cells, and when the nectar dries it turns into honey and they save it for food.
Thank you for reading I hope you learnt something!

Insect acrostic poem
Insects can be helpful.
Never disturb a bee or else it will sting you.
Spiders are not insects.
Everywhere you can see insects
Caring for our environment saves butterflies.
Too many ants marching on the wall
Some insects are bad to humans
Never disturb a bee or else it will sting you.
Spiders are not insects.
Everywhere you can see insects
Caring for our environment saves butterflies.
Too many ants marching on the wall
Some insects are bad to humans
