Museum Trip

Today I went to the Auckland Museum with my classmates and it was so fun.

I learnt about different kinds of animals and fossils. I also learnt about extinct animals like dinosaurs.

My favourite was going outside and taking pictures of  living things. It was so fun going outside and exploring.

Grasshoppers

I used google draw to create a poster about grasshoppers!

Facts about butterflies

I used google draw to create a poster about butterflies.

Butterfly life-cycle

Here is the life-cycle of a butterfly. I created it on a

google draw.

Insect acrostic poem

Insects can be helpful.

Never disturb a bee or else it will sting you.

Spiders are not insects.

Everywhere you can see insects

Caring for our environment saves butterflies.

Too many ants marching on the wall

Some insects are bad to humans

I am a Butterfly

I am colourful and pretty what am I ? A butterfly! I just came out of my cocoon and now I’m drying my wings. I go from flower to flower collecting pollen and spreading the pollen. Also my antennae helps me to feel, smell and taste the nectar. It also tells me which flower is safe to lay my eggs on.

I am really good because I help the flowers grow and I help the bees to collect pollen from flowers. I attach my eggs to a leaf with a special glue. My scientific name is Rhoplocera but I prefer to be called a butterfly.
